Lately, I’ve been in the mood for romances that are a little bold, a little daring, and totally addictive.
I’ve honestly been craving stories with tension, chemistry, and characters who feel real, who grow and challenge each other in ways that pull you in.
So, I dug into some of my favorite BDSM romance books, and I got hooked fast.
Here are the ones I keep thinking about, along with why I loved them so much.
1. This Man by Jodi Ellen Malpas
When Ava O’Shea meets Jesse Ward, she’s expecting a polished businessman. Instead, she meets someone bold, magnetic, and completely impossible to ignore.
I loved Ava’s honesty – she’s relatable, and her hesitation feels so real. And Jesse is intense in all the right ways.
Their chemistry had me holding my breath and staying up way too late reading.
If you love passion wrapped in a story with real emotional stakes, this one’s a must.
2. The Professional by Kresley Cole
Aleksei “The Siberian” Sevastyan is all mystery and control, and when he meets Natalie Porter, sparks fly instantly.
Their story is a combo of danger, luxury, and intense connection that keeps you glued to the pages.
For me, this one was pure escapism – the high stakes, the tension, and Aleksei’s protective, brooding personality make it impossible to put down.
I kept thinking about it long after I finished.
3. Rush by Maya Banks
Gabe Hamilton has had a crush on Mia Crestwell for years, and now that she’s grown up, he finally acts on it.
The tension in this book is unreal.
Their relationship starts with that off-limits energy I love so much, and slowly grows into something emotional and satisfying.
I found myself rooting for them constantly – this is one of those stories that feels intense and heartfelt at the same time.
4. Bound by Lorelei James
Amery Hardwick is all about her career, until Ronin Black enters her life.
He’s mysterious, confident, and pushes her to explore sides of herself she didn’t know existed.
I loved watching Amery grow and learn to trust, and Ronin keeps you guessing the whole time.
Their connection had me invested from page one – it’s emotional, empowering, and addictive.
5. Priceless by Miranda Silver
Christina looks bubbly on the outside, but inside she’s dealing with a lot.
Enter Patrick Caruthers – a man who challenges her, pushes her, and pulls her into a thrilling, complicated relationship.
I loved how raw and real this story felt.
It was not just about attraction, since it also explored the emotional connection, trust, and figuring out what you want.
I was hooked from the first chapter.
6. Owned by Fate by Tessa Bailey
Caroline Preston goes into Serve, New York’s hottest club, ready to hate it.
But Jonah Briggs, the commanding owner, makes her question everything she thought she knew about herself.
I loved seeing Caroline’s growth throughout the story. Jonah is confident and commanding, but her journey of discovery steals the show.
The tension here is perfect and it kept me reading long past bedtime.
7. Beautiful Bastard by Christina Lauren
Chloe Mills and Bennett Ryan cannot stand each other or so they think.
Their chemistry is undeniable, and the banter had me laughing while also swooning constantly.
I loved the push-and-pull in their relationship.
It’s funny, sharp, and absolutely addictive. If you enjoy enemies-to-lovers with tension and sass, this one is a must-read.
8. Release Me by J. Kenner
Damien Stark is confident, successful, and captivating, but it’s his connection with Nikki Fairchild that makes this story unforgettable.
I loved how their emotional journey felt as intense as their romance.
The tension, trust, and vulnerability kept me invested and I finished this one in record time.
9. How to Love a Billionaire by Alexis Hall
Arden St. Ives, an Oxford student, meets Caspian Hart, a billionaire with his own rules.
Their story is intense, funny, and emotional, and I couldn’t stop laughing and swooning at the same time.
I loved Arden’s voice because it’s witty, relatable, and real.
Caspian is complex and keeps you guessing, which makes this one a story you’ll savor.
Best Historical BDSM Romance Books
1. Mastering a Sinner by Kate Pearce
Alistair Maclean is calm and orderly until Diana, Lady Theale, flips his world upside down.
Their connection grows while uncovering secrets, and it’s intense, emotional, and captivating.
Diana is bold, Alistair quietly longing, and together they’re irresistible. I loved how this story mixed history, tension, and emotional depth.
2. The Duke I Tempted by Scarlett Peckham
The Duke of Westmead is all control, Poppy Cavendish is fiercely independent.
Their forced marriage slowly blooms into a tender, unexpected love.
I loved the slow-burn tension here. Poppy’s strength paired with the Duke’s guarded nature made me root for them the entire way.
3. Patience by Lisa Valdez
Patience Dare meets Matthew Hawkmore, a man on a mission to reclaim his place in society, and sparks fly.
This story is packed with growth, healing, and emotional depth.
I was cheering for them constantly, and it reminded me why I love romance books with strong, emotional stakes.
4. Training Lady Townsend by Annabel Joseph
