This privacy policy provides a comprehensive overview of how I handle data collection, usage, and dissemination on The Rookie Jurist.

This policy aims to inform you of the types of information I collect, the reasons for collection, and how I use the collected data.

I am very committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of your personal information, and this policy outlines my practices in detail to ensure transparency and accountability — which are very important to me.

2. Information Collection

The types of information I may collect include:

  1. Contact information, such as name, email address, and phone number.
  2. Information about the services you request, including the type of editing and the date the service was requested.
  3. For individuals who have reached an advanced stage with me, I’ll send over a detailed template where you must fill in a little about your background and writing goals.
  4. Information about your prior publications, if any, and any feedback from previous editors or beta readers.
  5. Your manuscript, chapter summaries, character descriptions, and other relevant information.
  6. Testimonials at the end of the process.

I may also collect non-personally identifiable information such as browser type, location data, and usage information to improve my services and website. This information will be collected through cookies, web beacons, and other similar technologies, which are entirely under your control (more on this later).

  1. To contact you in response to your inquiries.
  2. Send targeted promotional materials via my newsletter.
  3. Allow me to contact you while the contract is underway.
  4. Provide information to help me improve my services.
  5. Testimonials will be displayed prominently on their designated page.

4. Information Security.

I take the security of your information very seriously, and I have implemented technical, administrative, and physical measures to help protect the information I collect from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.

Despite these measures, I cannot guarantee the security of your information. You should take steps to protect your information, such as keeping your password secure and not sharing any sensitive details with anyone. I would never request your passwords or credit card details, so disregard any such prompt or request.

Please contact me if you want to see documentation of your information or if you want me to delete any of your private data – including our communication, documents exchanged, and whatnot.
