Books about stalkers are a hard-limit for sum and I advice you read this book knowing this. After seeing his face in a movie, she felt the “zing” her mother always talked about and she was convinced they were meant to be.
I mean, it’s a romance novel so obviously she was right at the end, but stalking in general is weird and the fact that it’s a cute person doing the stalking doesn’t add or remove to that fact.
This is such a beautiful book and I’m so glad I finally got around to reading it. I loved all the characters (except shitty Bradon and Erin) and I haven’t fallen so in love with a female protagonist in forever.
This is my first Kirsty Greenwood book so forgive me for being utterly dazed at how she was able to make me fall in love with fictional characters. I’m proudly a literary darling and I gladly bumped up a few of her books on my tbr-pile.
There was a bit of a twist on the Cinderella tale and since I live for retellings, I was very much impressed. It takes a village to create a life and I was so happy for the community Nora found herself in.
Her online buddy(and overall first in friendship) Kennedy, is such a mood and we all need someone like that on our side. I loved that she was so receptive of her and let her be just who she was.
Nora falls in love with herself and it’s pure watching her discover herself and the type of joy that is outside her bedroom walls. Not that there’s anything particularly negative about being an introvert, but I loved seeing her find happiness all around her. I loved the way she got back the glow in her cheeks.
The author could have easily made this another Cinderella-esque story and she would only be able to find happiness in the male protagonist, but I loved that she let herself grow and learn more about herself.
I freely admit this book had me panting, screaming, and almost tugging my hair whenever they would narrowly miss each other. I NEEDED them to meet each other finally and when they did….it was fire. All her feelings confirmed in less than a second and once again love seized the day.
So read this if you want to read about a female stalker finding herself amidst the jumble of the world.
Recommended:
1. You like clean contemporary romance novels.
2. You aren’t uncomfortable with the stalker trope.
3. You don’t mind a book where the leads don’t get together until the end.
