I don’t know if it’s obvious, but literally my favorite type of post to write for the blog is the new book releases and I’ve been doing it every single month of the year for every genre.

If you want to support me, make sure you check out those other posts and pick a few books you’d like to read.

You’re helping me help you, and I’m helping you help me – win-win!

In this particular post, I’m listing the best fiction books coming out in June.

These include literary fiction, historical fiction, women’s fiction, and basically every other kind of fiction you can think of – except romance, thriller, sci-fi, and fantasy, which have their own separate posts.

I haven’t been able to keep up with new releases as much as I’d like this year because, honestly, it’s been so busy.

But I always encourage people to buy more books because, honestly, you can never have too many.

If you’re excited about any of these titles, check out the synopses to see if they’re your vibe.

And don’t forget to share with a friend who might love them too.

I promise there’s absolutely something for everyone.

Monica Tsai, a shy college freshman, is helping build a program to connect strangers online, but her real quest is deeper – she wants to find a lost cousin and understand her grandmother Yun’s fading memories.

Yun’s story takes us back to WWII-era Shanghai, where magical pencils can bring memories to life.

It’s a touching tale about family, history, and how stories keep us connected through time.

I’m so looking forward to reading this because it feels like a warm hug from the past.

This debut novel is a moving journey through alternate realities set against the backdrop of the Salvadoran civil war.

The story also follows two young revolutionaries in the late 1970s, whose love and activism unfold amid danger.

I’m really eager to read this one – it sounds like a powerful mix of history, love, and what ifs that makes you think about fate and family in new ways.

This is a gentle yet powerful story about a mother named Dawn, who gave up her daughter for adoption as a teenager in Trinidad.

Now in her late fifties, Dawn feels a deep need to find the daughter she lost and understand her own life’s path.

It’s about love in all its shapes, family ties, and the brave act of searching for connection after years of silence.

I’m so looking forward to this because it promises to be heartfelt and real, with emotions that many can relate to.

In just three days, Jude, a pregnant single mom, and her nine-year-old twins face eviction from their trailer park home.

Annabelle has a perfect life – or so it seems – until she starts having terrifying dreams that turn out to be true.

These nightmarish visions show her a future where her husband turns cold and her daughters are in danger.

When one dream shows her daughter Scarlett in immediate peril, Annabelle’s life spirals into a tense fight to protect her family while trying to change fate.

This psychological thriller sounds gripping and chilling, and I can’t wait to see what happens in Annabelle’s story.

I’ll Be Right Here by Amy Bloom

Ill Be Right Here

Publication Date: June 24th

This novel is like a warm family album spanning decades.

It tells the story of Gazala, who immigrated from Paris to New York after WWII, and her friends Anne and Alma.

Together, with Gazala’s brother Samir, they create an unconventional, loving found family that supports each other through life’s ups and downs.

The book celebrates all kinds of love and the messy, beautiful ways people grow together.

I’m really looking forward to this because Amy Bloom’s writing always feels like a cozy conversation about life and love.

Kakigori Summer by Emily Itami

Kakigori Summer

Publication Date: June 10th

Three sisters – Rei, Kiki, and Ai – reunite for one summer on the Japanese coast after years apart.

Each sister has her own struggles: Rei works in London finance, Kiki is a single mom in Tokyo, and Ai is a Japanese pop star caught in a scandal.

Their summer together forces them to face family secrets and find strength in each other despite the silence around their mother’s death years ago.

This one sounds tender, honest, and full of sisterly love, with a bit of gentle drama, and I really can’t wait to get my hands on it.

A Mother’s Love by Danielle Steel

A Mothers Love

Publication Date: June 24th

Halley Holbrook is a mom who has given her daughters everything she never had  –  love and safety  –  after a really tough childhood she’s kept secret.

Now that her twins have moved away, she’s facing an empty nest for the first time.

On a trip to Paris, she meets a charming man and starts feeling like herself again.

But then trouble follows her, stirring up old fears she thought were behind her.

I’m really looking forward to how Danielle Steel shows strength through love and resilience here.

It sounds like the kind of story that will make you see how powerful a mother’s love truly is.

So Far Gone by Jess Walter

So Far Gone

Publication Date: June 10th

This story immediately caught my attention because it’s about family, survival, and finding courage when life feels broken.

Rhys Kinnick is a journalist who escaped the chaos of the world by living alone in a cabin.

But when his grandchildren show up needing protection, and then get kidnapped, he’s forced back into a messy, dangerous world he’d hoped to leave behind.

I love stories that mix suspense with real emotional heart, and this one promises both  –  plus some quirky characters like a bipolar detective and a sharp ex-girlfriend.

I can’t wait to see how Rhys fights to keep his family safe. It feels like a wild, heartfelt ride.

Among Friends by Hal Ebbott

Among Friends

Publication Date: June 24th, 2025

This book sounds like a powerful drama about friendship, trust, and the secrets we hide even from the people closest to us.

Two families have been friends for decades, sharing a beautiful, comfortable life together.

But over one autumn weekend, jealousy and resentment bubble up and lead to a shocking betrayal that changes everything.

What I’m really looking forward to is the way this story digs into how relationships can be both fragile and complicated, and how people cope when the foundations of their lives crack.

It feels like the kind of book you’ll want to think about long after you finish it  –  especially with its themes of family, power, and truth.

I hope these summaries make you as excited as I am about June’s new fiction releases.
