New steamy romance books coming out in 2025 scaled

Whenever I’m compiling a list of new romance book releases, I always keep an eye out for the steamy ones because that’s where my heart is.

I love a good spicy romance that keeps me on my toes, and this year has some of the best releases.

I’ve read several of them, and trust me, the chemistry is out of this world.

You’ll be hooked from start to finish!

This one’s for people like me who enjoy that extra something. I promise these steamy books will add the perfect touch to your TBR, and I’ll be updating this post every month with new recommendations.

Dream Girl Drama by Tessa Bailey

Dream Girl Drama

This one’s messy in the best way.

A hot hockey player, Sig, has one magical night with a champagne-stealing, dreamy girl named Chloe.

Then – plot twist – he finds out she’s about to be his stepsister because their parents are getting married.

What follows is a flirty, emotional slow burn filled with longing, family chaos, and two people trying so hard not to fall even harder.

If you love forbidden romance with charm and spice, this one’s for you. I devoured it.

Phantom by H.D. Carlton

Phantom by H.D and

This book is haunting, twisted, and super steamy.

Set in 1944, Gigi feels trapped in her marriage until a mysterious man starts showing up outside her window.

He’s dangerous and dark, but also the only one who makes her feel alive.

There’s a forbidden love vibe, and if you liked H.D. Carlton’s Cat and Mouse Duet, you already know it’s going to be intense.

Dark romance fans, add this to your TBR immediately.

Let’s Call a Truce by Amy Buchanan

Lets Call A Truce

Juliana’s a widow trying to rebuild her life while raising her kids.

Ben is her annoying coworker who once called her a liability.

Their slow-burning feud becomes something more when they have to work together and suddenly those angry sparks start turning into heat of a very different kind.

I adored the mature romance, real-life stress, and sweet second chances in this one.

Deep End by Ali Hazelwood

Deep End

This is a college sports romance, and it’s hot.

Scarlett is a diver laser-focused on med school, while Lukas is a golden boy swimmer with Olympic dreams.

They’re total opposites, but when they start a casual arrangement (you know where this is going), feelings sneak in.

I loved how layered and tender this was under all the spice.

If you enjoy smart girls, confident guys, and underwater tension, don’t miss this one.

Give Me Butterflies by Jillian Meadows

Give Me Butterflies

This is the perfect mix of nerdy, emotional, and sizzling.

Millie works in a museum and dreams of a big promotion. Her grumpy coworker Finn? Total distraction.

But under the scowls, he’s sweet, hurting, and surprisingly swoony.

The slow burn between them builds like crazy, and the side characters made my heart happy.

It’s got a single guardian trope, museum magic, and moments that totally gave me butterflies too.

Kiss the Villain by Rina Kent

Kiss the Villain

Okay, this one’s dark, intense, and steamy.

Gareth is a perfect golden boy on the outside but inside, he’s full of secrets.

Then one night changes everything, and he ends up face-to-face with the mysterious man from that night who just so happens to be his new professor.

The chemistry is off the charts, and the danger adds so much tension.

It’s a bold, wild ride with serious heat.

Definitely check the content warnings, but if dark MM romance is your thing, this one’s unforgettable.

Just Our Luck by Denise Williams

Just Our Luck

This is adorable and spicy.

Sybil wins the lottery, but accidentally leaves her ticket behind at a donut shop where she had a flirty moment with the owner, Kiran.

He returns it, goes viral, and they end up fake dating to save his bakery.

Cue cozy vibes, hilarious family moments, and so much chemistry.

I smiled so much reading this one. It’s about luck, love, and donuts – and what more could you want?

Only in Your Dreams by Ellie K. Wilde

Only In Your Dreams

Melody’s back in her hometown after a breakup, and, somehow, she runs into Zac – the one that got away and her brother’s best friend.

Awkward and also perfect.

They’re stuck together on a camping trip, and all that history comes rushing back.

This book is angsty, sweet, and sizzling, with a second chance vibe that totally hit me in the feels.

If you like small towns, secret feelings, and brothers-would-freak-out tension, this is the one.

Beg, Borrow, or Steal by Sarah Adams

Beg Borrow or Steal

Two second-grade teachers – Emily and Jack – cannot stand each other.

But when Emily accidentally emails a big secret to the school principal, Jack is the only one who can help.

Forced to team up, the tension turns very flirty, and I couldn’t stop giggling or blushing.

It’s rivals to lovers with books, kids, and just the right dose of spice.

Sarah Adams always brings the joy, and this one’s no different.

Once Smitten, Twice Shy by Chloe Liese

Once Smitten Twice Shy

This one gave me the warm fuzzies.

The couple here had something years ago that didn’t work out but now they’re back in each other’s orbit and things are heating up fast.

It’s about getting it right the second time around, learning how to love out loud, and letting yourself be loved, even when it’s scary.

Chloe Liese’s books always have so much heart and steam, and this is no exception.
