Broken Country

If you love stories packed with deep emotions, tangled pasts, and a touch of mystery, this one is for you.

Beth is happily married to Frank, but their peaceful life depends on keeping old secrets buried.

Everything changes when her brother-in-law fires a gun at a dog—because that dog belongs to Gabriel Wolfe, Beth’s first love and the man who broke her heart years ago.

Gabriel’s sudden return stirs up memories Beth thought she had put behind her, especially since his young son reminds her so much of the child she lost.

As old feelings resurface, so do long-hidden tensions in their small village, leading to dangerous consequences. Beth must decide whether to stay the woman she is now or embrace the one she used to be.

With the slow-burn intensity of The Paper Palace and the atmospheric pull of Where the Crawdads Sing, this book blends love, loss, and suspense into a gripping read you won’t be able to put down.
