The Last Wizards’ Ball by Charlaine Harris – July 22nd

I’ve been waiting for this one because it’s the final book in the Gunnie Rose series, but it feels a little bittersweet to say goodbye.
In this magical ending, Lizbeth Rose has to protect her sister Felicia, who is not only one of the strongest death wizards but also one of the most admired women at the Grand Wizards’ Ball.
But things aren’t safe at all – dangerous wizards from Europe want her, and some of them refuse to take no for an answer.
As war and fear grow stronger, Lizbeth has to risk everything to keep her family safe. I can’t wait to see how it all ends.
Human Rites by Juno Dawson – July 1st

I’ve been so curious about how this series would finish, and now the wait is almost over. This is the final book in the Her Majesty’s Royal Coven series.
The coven is in pieces – some witches are grieving, some are trapped, and some are carrying shocking secrets.
To make things worse, the demon king Lucifer is up to his tricks again, trying to tempt young witch Theo with a dangerous offer that could save her friends but at a very big price.
Everything comes down to this final battle between good and evil. It sounds exciting, magical, and full of surprises. I really want to see how these witches will find their strength again.
The Lighthouse at the Edge of the World by J.R. Dawson – July 29th

Oh, this one feels so emotional and beautiful – I love books that mix magic with deep feelings.
In this story, there’s a lighthouse in Chicago that helps the dead find their way to the afterlife.
Nera and her father help guide them every night, but one night something strange happens. The light starts fading, ghosts start acting wild, and a living girl named Charlie sneaks onto the boat. She’s searching for someone she lost.
This story is about grief, love, and letting go, but in such a magical, hopeful way. I think it’ll make me cry a little, but in the best way.
Infinite Archive by Mur Lafferty – July 1st

Mallory, the main character, lives on a space station where usually lots of people get murdered, but things have been quiet lately.
That is, until the ship carrying the entire Internet (yes, really!) arrives and so does a new murder mystery.
Now she has to solve it while dealing with weird aliens, strange influencers, and even a living version of the Internet itself.
It sounds funny, clever, and full of surprises. I can’t wait to see how Mallory figures this one out.
The Memory of the Ogisi by Moses Ose Utomi – July 15th

This book feels extra special because it’s the big finale of the Forever Desert series. I’ve been eager to see how this ends.
Ethike is a historian in a great desert city, and he’s desperate to save his job and his family.
To do that, he goes on a dangerous journey into the desert to find a secret tomb – one that could change everything people think they know about history.
But what he discovers is much more shocking (and angrier!) than he ever expected. I’m so excited to see what secrets the desert holds.
A Resistance of Witches by Morgan Ryan – July 15th

Historical fantasy and witches during World War II? Yes, please! This debut sounds so good.
Lydia is a witch who’s trying to stop the Nazis from getting their hands on a dangerous magical book that could destroy everything.
She goes on a wild journey across Europe, helped by a brave French resistance fighter and a charming art historian with magic secrets of his own.
But the book she’s hunting might be even more dangerous than the Nazis.
I love that this story is full of magic, bravery, and teamwork. I think this will be such an exciting, edge-of-your-seat adventure.
Beasts of Carnaval by Rosália Rodrigo – July 29th

On an island where a mysterious carnival never ends, guests come for the beauty, the music, the feasts, but they rarely leave.
Sofía isn’t there to party – she’s there to find her lost brother.
But as the carnival wraps its strange magic around her, it gets harder to tell what’s real and what’s a trap.
I love stories like this set in a world that is full of secrets and old magic. I can just imagine the glittering, eerie lights and the feeling that something is always watching.
I hope Sofía finds her brother before she gets lost forever.
Volatile Memory by Seth Haddon – July 22nd

This sapphic sci-fi sounds so unique and touching.
Wylla is a clever hunter trying to score some valuable tech, but what she finds is a broken AI mask with the memories of a dead woman trapped inside.
And this AI woman sees Wylla in a way no one ever has before.
Together they go on a wild journey to find the person who betrayed them both – Wylla’s ex-husband.
I really like the mix of action, feelings, and mystery in this book.
It feels like it’ll be a little heartbreaking but also full of hope. I’m really looking forward to reading this one.
The Memory Hunters by Mia Tsai – July 29th

Kiana can dive into people’s blood memories to learn about the past, but when she finds something that doesn’t match history, everything changes.
Her bodyguard Vale tries to protect her, but soon they are both caught up in a dangerous mystery that could shake their whole world.
I really like that there’s tension between them – not just danger but unspoken feelings, too.
I can’t wait to see what secrets they uncover and if they’ll finally admit how they feel. It sounds exciting and emotional.
Birth of a Dynasty by Chinaza Bado – July 29th

I love epic fantasy with royal drama and magic, so this book feels like such a treat.
M’Kuru loses everything – his whole noble house destroyed – and now he’s hiding as a simple farm boy in enemy territory, plotting his revenge. But his enemies are closer than he thinks.
Meanwhile, Zikora just wants to be a warrior, but a big prophecy puts the fate of the whole land on her shoulders.
There are giants, magic, power-hungry royals – everything I enjoy in a fantasy world.
I can’t wait to see how these two stories come together. This one feels like the start of something huge.
