Review: You’re My I.T. by C. N. Holmberg

Youre My IT book review scaled

I absolutely loved this book, and the more I reflect on it, the more I appreciate its beauty.

And, what I appreciated the most was how the author skillfully handled the sensitive issue of weight loss and the emotional and psychological impact of a new body while letting the characters grow in a way that felt natural.

One thing that stood out to me was the genuine love between Blaine and Lysander – the two protagonists. It was so refreshing to read a story where the romance felt real and not contrived, as their love blossomed from a deep-set friendship.

I especially appreciated how Blaine, the female protagonist, was such a go-getter, and it was so fun watching her determination to ask him out, despite many failed attempts.

Lys’ obliviousness was very charming, and I felt for Blaine, who had to put herself out there over and over again despite terrible experiences in the past.

And, the POV was a huge bonus because I was able to see the story unfold from both perspectives. It added depth and complexity to the narrative and allowed me to fully immerse myself in the world the author created.

Overall, I highly recommend this book. It’s a beautiful story with great characters, and I think anyone who reads it will fall in love with it just like I did.

If you love a romance novel with minimal intimacy scenes that explores weight loss in an achingly soft way and you adore romance that’s just the right side of heartfelt, you’re going to love this one!
