Love F1 romance books? This fun list of Formula One romance books is perfect for anyone who enjoys fast racing romance novels and high drama love books.

I’m going to be honest right away. I know almost nothing about Formula 1.

If you ask me about teams, rules, or how the points system works, I will probably just stare at you. But somehow, sport romance books always find me.

I may not understand the sport, but I absolutely understand the tension, the rivalry, and the romance that comes with it.

One book that really pushed me deeper into this little corner of romance is Heated Rivalry. I watched the adaptation recently and now I can’t stop thinking about it.

I’ve been meaning to sit down and write a proper review soon because I have a lot of thoughts about it. That whole experience reminded me just how much I enjoy sports romance, even when I barely know the sport itself.

If you’ve been on this blog for a while, you already know I love putting together themed book lists like this.

I’ve written about things like steamy romance books, arranged marriage romance books, and even high society romance books. So putting together a list of Formula 1 romance books felt like the next fun thing to do.

So if you enjoy fast cars, competitive drivers, dramatic tension, and romance that grows right in the middle of all that chaos, this list is for you.

Jumpstart by Kayla James

Jumpstart

Second chance Formula 1 romance books always get me, and Jumpstart by Kayla James really leans into that right person, wrong time energy.

Jace is the golden driver, a devoted dad, and the kind of hero who looks perfect on paper. But Kinsley coming back into his life shakes everything up.

I love that she’s chasing her own dream with her camera while trying to build a better future for her son.

There’s history, longing, and those quiet late-night talks that slowly pull them back together.

I’ve read another novel by this author before, and she writes tender moments so well. This one balances racing pressure with grown-up love in such a sweet way.

The Chase by Victoria Denault

The Chase

If you like second chance Formula 1 romance novels with tension and banter, The Chase by Victoria Denault delivers.

Frankie taking over her family’s racing team adds so much power to the story. She’s strong, sharp, and not ready to forgive the driver who once walked away.

Billy being both her employee and the guy who still wants her makes everything extra messy.

I enjoy when a racing romance book puts the woman in charge, and this one does that beautifully.

The chemistry is playful but also layered with old hurt. It’s dramatic without being heavy, and the workplace tension keeps things exciting from start to finish.

Slipstream by Madge Maril

Slipstream

Behind-the-scenes Formula 1 romance books always catch my attention, and Slipstream by Madge Maril brings in cameras, secrets, and revenge.

Lilah is serious about her documentary work, so being pushed into the flashy F1 world isn’t her dream at all. Arthur, the reserve driver trying to prove himself, adds so much charm to the story.

Their fake relationship plan slowly turns into something deeper, and I like how both of them have something to gain.

The global race settings make everything feel glamorous and busy.

It’s dramatic but still warm at heart, especially watching two people slowly trust each other again.

Downforce by Hannah Lily

Downforce

Career pressure and forced proximity? Yes please.

Downforce by Hannah Lily focuses on Jonah, a driver under huge pressure to live up to his family name, and Olivia, a presenter fighting to be taken seriously.

I really enjoy Formula 1 sports romance novels where both leads have something to prove.

Their clashes in the paddock turn into long car rides and shared hotel rooms across Europe, which adds so much tension.

The road trip element makes this one extra fun. Watching them slowly see each other beyond first impressions gives the story heart, not just drama.

Retrograde by Emilee Carter

Retrograde

Friends-to-lovers Formula 1 romance books are my weakness, and Retrograde by Emilee Carter is full of longing.

Lucie and Brett have been side by side for ten years, pretending the spark between them doesn’t matter.

When his racing career pauses, everything slows down just enough for real feelings to rise.

I love that part of the story takes place in Tuscany because it softens the high-speed world.

I haven’t read Bloodstream yet, but after seeing how emotional this one sounds, I’m tempted.

This novel seems more tender and reflective, showing love that has been waiting for the right time.

Cross the Line by Simone Soltani

Brother’s best friend Formula 1 romance novels are always packed with tension, and Cross the Line by Simone Soltani adds a public image twist.

Dev’s career is shaky after a social media mistake, and Willow stepping in to help fix things puts them close again.

I like that Willow isn’t just a love interest; she’s smart and trying to build her own career. The mix of childhood crush and grown-up attraction makes everything sweeter.

Set against glamorous Monaco parties and race weekends, this one feels sparkly but still grounded in real emotions and hard choices.

Not So Fast by Karen Booth

Not so fast

Podcast host meets driver? That’s such a fun setup for a Formula 1 romantic comedy.

Not So Fast by Karen Booth follows Mia, who talks boldly about racing online, and Xander, the driver she criticizes.

I love when strong opinions turn into unexpected attraction. The Miami Grand Prix backdrop adds sunshine and drama, and Mia being an overthinker makes her very relatable.

This Formula 1 enemies to lovers romance has sharp banter and heat, but it also shows Mia figuring out what she truly wants.

It is light, fast, and perfect when you want something playful.

Pole Position by Rebecca J. Caffeine

Pole Position

Teammates in a high-pressure sport always bring drama, and Pole Position by Rebecca J. Caffeine gives us that with Kian and Harper.

Kian is carrying his father’s legacy, while Harper arrives as the bold rookie shaking everything up.

I enjoy Formula 1 teammate romance books because the competition is so personal.

Sharing a garage, chasing the same wins, and trying not to blur lines adds so much tension.

The golden boy image versus messy family history gives Kian depth.

This one is emotional but also sharp and modern, especially with two strong personalities clashing.

Driving Me Crazy by Carly Robyn

Driving Me Crazy scaled

Even though this one leans more into rockstar life than racing, the road trip energy makes it exciting.

Driving Me Crazy by Carly Robyn mixes brother’s best friend tension with forced proximity.

An ER nurse and a musician pretending to be a couple across the country? That’s chaos in the best way.

I like romance novels where opposites have to spend long hours together because it strips everything down.

The contract forcing them to act in love adds humor and heart. It sounds messy, loud, and surprisingly sweet beneath all the teasing.

Double Apex by Josie Juniper

Double Apex

Double Apex by Josie Juniper centers on Phaedra, a brilliant race engineer who doesn’t have time for distractions.

Pairing her with a charming but complicated driver like Cosmin makes this Formula 1 workplace romance novel intense.

I love when the woman works behind the scenes in racing because it shows another side of the sport.

Their secret arrangement turning into real emotion adds tension, especially with team rules hanging over them.

This one sounds sharp, clever, and full of chemistry, with high stakes both on and off the track.

Those are some of the best F1 romance books to add to your TBR.

If you enjoy romance with rivalry, competition, and lots of tension, these are a great place to start.
