Just in case you didn’t know, I’ve been making posts about the best romance books released every month this year.
So, if that’s something you’re interested in, feel free to check them out!
I’m currently in school, so I haven’t been able to read much or keep up with all the new releases, but there are definitely many on my most anticipated list that I plan to get to once I have more time.
At the top of my list is always anything sapphic and this year we have some of the best lesbian romance novels.
So, if you’ve been looking to add some new lesbian romances to your reading list or bookshelf, here are some great options for you.
Remember, I haven’t read all these books yet, but they sound amazing!
Over the course of the year, I’ll be updating this post with links to my own reviews because I plan to read every single one.
French Pressed Love by M.C. Hutson

Okay, this one? Deliciously messy in the best way.
It’s one of those slow-burn romances that keeps you up way past bedtime because the tension is so good.
Jordan is stuck in a rut, running a coffee shop and trying to figure out her next move.
Noémie? A total nightmare customer until she loses her rich-girl funding and has to work at the coffee shop.
Then they end up moving in together (yes, you read that right), and let’s just say the forced proximity is everything.
It’s angsty, chaotic, and so satisfying – think Tryst Six Venom, but with more depth and a whole lot of steam.
I’m absolutely here for all the messy feelings, jealousy, and emotional growth. A total emotional caffeine hit.
All Fired Up by M.K. England

This one feels like the warmest queer hug.
Nic is back home after grad school, finally ready to stop pining for her best friend Skylar – who announces she’s moving to Fiji.
Enter Kira, a literal firefighter with a heart of gold and undeniable chemistry with Nic.
As they try to stop Skylar from making a huge mistake, they find themselves drawn to each other in all the best, spark-filled ways.
It’s chaotic, full of heart, and such a fun twist on friends-to-lovers (with a side of rom-com hijinks).
I love how it celebrates queer friendship and messy, unexpected love. Like a big queer group hug wrapped in flames.
Love in Focus by Lyla Lee

This one made my heart ache in the best way.
Gemma is a relationship columnist who no longer believes in love, and she ends up working with her ex, Celeste, on a project about modern romance.
It’s so layered – there’s unresolved heartbreak, longing, and the tiniest glimmer of hope between them.
Celeste is successful and magnetic, and there’s still so much chemistry between them.
This is a second-chance romance that totally tugged at my heart.
Watching Gemma try to stay professional while her heart says otherwise? Heart. Melted.
It’s messy, hopeful, and deeply romantic – perfect for those of us who still believe in love, even after it breaks us a little.
Backhanded Compliments by Katie Chandler

Tennis + soulmates + spicy rivals? Sign me up!
Juliette and Luca are total opposites on the court – intense rivals, full of insults and tension.
But then, they find out they’re soulmates. Juliette is furious, Luca is confused, and their every interaction just crackles with chemistry.
The late-night massages? The emotional whiplash? Chef’s kiss.
This is one of those stories where you’re rooting for love and a championship title, and it captures that push-pull perfectly.
Also, it has a little magic twist that feels so whimsical but grounded.
I love when rivalry turns into something deeper and sweeter than either character expects.
Ready to Score by Jodie Slaughter

Oh my goodness, this one had me grinning and fanning myself.
Jade is a football coach who’s worked so hard to get where she is, and Francesca is the charming art teacher who throws her completely off her game.
Their banter? Incredible. The chemistry? Off the charts.
What really got me, though, was how real their struggles felt – both professionally and personally.
Jodie Slaughter just knows how to write desire, conflict, and care so beautifully.
It’s also so refreshing to see sapphic love thrive in the world of sports, especially when it’s this steamy and heartfelt.
Big feelings, big dreams, big swoons!
Flirting Lessons by Jasmine Guillory

I loved seeing Jasmine Guillory’s take on a queer romance, and this one is pure fun with a splash of longing.
Avery is so relatable – newly single, unsure how to date women, and just trying to figure herself out.
Then Taylor swoops in with a bet and a whole lot of charm.
Their flirting lessons start out light and playful, but the feelings sneak in quietly and sweetly.
I loved watching Avery gain confidence while also softening Taylor’s edges.
It’s sexy, funny, and unexpectedly moving.
A story about learning to love yourself as much as anyone else, and it just filled me with joy.
My Best Friend’s Honeymoon by Meryl Wilsner

Ahhh, this one gave me all the butterflies.
Elsie ditches her fiancé and takes her best friend Ginny on their pre-paid honeymoon instead.
What starts off as a healing vacation slowly turns into kisses, long looks, and real, deep love.
Ginny’s been in love with Elsie forever, and watching Elsie finally open her heart? So satisfying.
There’s so much tenderness and heat, and the way they manage this huge emotional shift felt honest and hopeful.
I love romances where best friends become soulmates, and this one hit all the right notes.
It’s sweet, spicy, and empowering – a love story about finally choosing yourself and the person who’s always been there.
The Relationship Mechanic by Karmen Lee

This one was just adorable.
Jessica is a city girl with commitment issues, and Vini is a grounded, small-town mechanic who knows what she wants.
When Jessica’s car breaks down, Vini swoops in – and so begins six weeks of unexpected companionship and steamy attraction.
I absolutely loved the setting – Peach Blossom, Georgia is so charming, and the whole book feels like a southern sunset.
There’s a quiet warmth to their connection that builds so naturally, and watching them manage big feelings and future plans was so comforting.
This one was really a hug in book form, with just the right amount of spice.
Cover Story by Celia Laskey

I love love love stories set in Hollywood, especially when they take a peek behind the scenes.
Ali is a closeted publicist trying to protect Cara, an up-and-coming queer star, from the same fate.
But instead of keeping things professional, they end up falling for each other.
It’s flirty, emotional, and full of tension – especially since Ali is still grieving a past love.
There’s so much complexity here about queerness in the spotlight, grief, healing, and what it means to really be seen.
And even with all that, it still made me laugh.
I adore when rom-coms balance serious themes with big heart.
On Her Terms by Amy Spalding

This book feels like a breath of fresh air about being true to yourself.
Clementine is done with the normal life she was expected to want and is ready to explore new things, including dating women.
She and Chloe, a dog groomer, pretend to be a couple for family events but end up discovering real feelings.
I love how this story celebrates honesty with yourself and others, even when it’s scary.
It’s funny, warm, and really made me realize that love doesn’t have to fit into anyone else’s plan.
So tell me, did you add any of these books to your cart? Do you think you’re going to check any of them out?
If you see any storyline here that you love, let me know all about it in the comments below!
And if you’re currently looking out for any other books, make sure to tell me too.
