I always get a little excited when a new author releases their first book.

This is someone sharing their work with the world for the first time, and I love being there for that moment.

Supporting new authors has always been something I care about, especially because I know how much work goes into writing and publishing a first book.

I don’t talk about it that much now, but I’ve also had the chance to work as a beta reader for many new authors. That experience really changed how I see debut books.

I’ve seen how much time, editing, doubt, and hard work goes into those early drafts before a book ever reaches readers. So whenever I see a new author releasing their first book, I always want to cheer them on a little.

If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you probably already know that I love keeping track of new releases every year.

I’ve already written a few other posts about 2026 book releases, including lists for different genres.

I’ve shared upcoming romance releases, new thriller books coming out in 2026, and even some exciting new fantasy and thriller titles.

But debut books deserve their own spotlight because this is where we often discover brand new voices.

Another thing I love about debut books is that you never really know what you’re going to get. Some of the biggest and most loved authors today started with quiet debut releases that slowly found their readers.

So I always like to keep an eye on what new writers are bringing out each year.

In this list, I’m sharing some of the most exciting debut books coming out in 2026 that are already getting attention.

If you enjoy discovering new authors early, this is a great place to start.
