Coming from a country where books are very expensive and it’s really not easy to get your hands on novels, let me tell you that one thing that sustained my entire childhood was chick lit books and historical romance novels.
You know, the kind I’m talking about.
In this post, I’m listing some of my personal favorite chick lit books that are off-the-charts funny and totally bonkers.
One thing I always trust about characters in chick lit books is that they’re irreverently funny and completely unhinged in the best way.
I promise you’ll enjoy reading these fantastic books!
1. Bubble Tea Girl by Althea Liu
Julia Hua is a fun, quirky shop girl in Queens, NYC, who loves making snarky comments and designing fashion.

Loved this one so much because it’s full of humor and heart and all the lovely things everyone would enjoy.

As she recovers, Macy rethinks her whole life and what really matters.
This heartwarming story about love, second chances, and self-discovery will have you reflecting on your own journey.
5. Until We Collide by Charlotte Fallowfield

I personally think the world is far too dark and gloomy at the moment, and these chick lit books are just the type of lighthearted fun you need to sit back, relax, and unwind.
