I used to think I wasn’t the kind of person who could be easily influenced until I downloaded TikTok.

Let me tell you, TikTok has introduced me to some of my all-time favorite series.

It was on TikTok that I first came across an edit of The Nanny, and it’s still the app I turn to whenever I’m in a K-drama funk and need new recommendations.

Even though it’s not the healthiest app out there, it’s still pretty amazing.

After seeing that edit of The Nanny, I was hooked.

Needless to say, over the next three weeks, I binged all six seasons.

This series completely consumed me – I was crying, laughing, screaming, swooning, and feeling all the emotions at once.

To this day, it’s still one of my favorite sitcoms.

As a book girly who also runs a blog, I thought it would be a missed opportunity not to write a post about the best books I’ve read that remind me of The Nanny – from Fran and Maxwell’s lovely dynamic to C.C. and Niles’ banter, and even the kids’ shenanigans.

If you’ve watched The Nanny, then you already know how iconic the show is.

One of the best things about being a reader is that we always have more stories to read, and it’s wonderful when we can draw connections between them and our favorite shows.

So, before I go completely off on a tangent, here’s my list of the best books for anyone who loves The Nanny, its characters, and its heartwarming story.

1. Park Avenue Player by Penelope Ward and VI Keeland

Park Avenue Player

Elodie has a fender bender with a hot but rude guy. Turns out, he’s also the person interviewing her for a new job.

Despite their rocky start, she ends up working for him, taking care of his troubled niece.

But resisting the chemistry between them is harder than expected, and their connection leads to unexpected complications.

Why It’s Great for The Nanny Fans: If you loved the sparks between Fran and Maxwell, you’ll totally vibe with Elodie and Hollis.

She’s a nanny for a troubled kid, and of course, she clashes with Hollis, this rich, brooding guy who’s got some serious charm

Their slow-burn romance is just like Fran and Maxwell’s, full of tension and chemistry that’s impossible to ignore.

Plus, the whole nanny-employer dynamic adds some extra drama and sweetness.

2. Saving the Single Dad by Ashley Munoz

Saving the Single Dad

Haley’s life takes a turn when she ends up taking care of three girls for a grumpy ex-boxer, Liam.

He’s overprotective, broody, and much older, but there’s something beneath his tough exterior.

As they start to connect, Haley finds herself drawn to him, even if saving him could cost her everything.

Why It’s Great for The Nanny Fans: Just like Fran, Haley’s thrown into this unexpected nanny gig for Liam, a single dad with a tough exterior – kinda like Maxwell Sheffield.

He’s grumpy, protective, and has a lot going on.

But, like Fran did with Maxwell, Haley slowly gets under his skin in the best way.

Fans of The Nanny will love the mix of humor, heart, and that classic nanny-employer chemistry.

3. Lost and Lassoed by Lyla Sage

Lost and Lassoed

Teddy thrives on chaos while Gus is all about routine.

They can’t stand each other, but when Teddy ends up helping Gus on his family ranch (he’s the most swoonworthy cowboy ever), sparks fly.

Forced to spend the summer together, they slowly start to see each other in a new light, but can they make things work when feelings start to change?

Why It’s Great for The Nanny Fans: Teddy and Gus definitely give off The Nanny vibes.

Teddy’s this free spirit, and Gus is all about his routine, especially when it comes to his daughter.

It’s all about that opposites-attract tension that you know and love from Fran and Maxwell.

The more time they spend together, the more sparks fly, and it’s got that great, slow-burn romance that The Nanny fans will totally appreciate.

4. Archer’s Voice by Mia Sheridan

Archers Voice

Bree Prescott moves to a small town hoping to find peace, and that’s when she meets Archer Hale, a man hiding his own pain and secrets.

Their connection is slow to build, but Archer’s silence and Bree’s caring nature bring them together in a healing, life-changing love story.

Why It’s Great for The Nanny Fans: If you loved how Fran broke down Maxwell’s walls, you’ll love Bree and Archer’s story.

Archer’s this quiet, isolated guy who has a tough time opening up, and Bree is the one who helps him find his voice.

It’s a beautiful, slow-burn romance that gives off major The Nanny feels, with a little healing and a lot of emotional depth.

5. It Happened One Summer by Tessa Bailey

It Happened One summer

Piper Bellinger is sent to a small town to learn some responsibility after a scandal.

There, she meets Brendan, a grumpy sea captain who doubts she’ll last.

But as they clash and grow closer, Piper starts to question whether her old life is really what she wants.

Why It’s Great for The Nanny Fans: Piper is a glam city girl sent to a small town, where she ends up falling for Brendan, the grumpy sea captain.

Their dynamic – full of tension, sarcasm, and slow-building attraction – is basically The Nanny in a nutshell.

It’s got that opposites-attract thing going on, just like Fran and Maxwell, and their witty back-and-forth will remind you of all the playful bickering that made The Nanny so fun.

6. The Nanny by Lana Ferguson

The Nanny

Cassie is down on her luck when she finds a nanny job with Aiden Reid, a hot executive chef.

But it’s a little too close for comfort when she realizes Aiden has seen her in a very personal light before.

Now, as things heat up between them, she has to manage their complex past and her growing feelings.

Why It’s Great for The Nanny Fans: If you’re craving a direct The Nanny vibe, this book is basically perfect.

Cassie’s the nanny for Aiden, this handsome but messy guy, and their chemistry is undeniable from the start.

It’s a fun, flirty take on the classic nanny-employer trope, and if you loved the way Fran thrived in her role in the Sheffield family, you’ll love how Cassie’s relationship with Aiden develops.

7. Unbreak My Heart by Nicole Jacquelyn

Unbreak My Heart

Kate’s heart has always belonged to Shane, but when he marries her best friend, she buries her feelings.

After tragedy strikes, Kate ends up co-parenting with Shane, and their closeness leads to unexpected emotions.

Now, with their lives tangled together, Kate must decide whether to fight for the future she wants.

Why It’s Great for The Nanny Fans: This one’s for The Nanny fans who love a good emotional journey.

Kate steps in to help Shane, a widower with kids, and their connection grows as they lean on each other.

It’s that same vibe of healing through love and family, just like Fran brought her heart to the Sheffield home.

Aside from being a nanny, she becomes something more, much like Fran did with Maxwell and the kids.

8. Only Mine by Laura Pavlov

Only Mine

When Teddy meets Wolf, they instantly clash.

But over time, spending endless hours together begins to change their dynamic, and this leads to undeniable chemistry.

As their playful teasing turns into something deeper, neither of them can deny the attraction anymore.

Why It’s Great for The Nanny Fans: If you liked the tension between CC and Niles, you’ll totally get hooked on Georgie and Wolf.

Georgie’s all fun and light, while Wolf is serious and grumpy, and their chemistry is undeniable.

As far as I’m concerned, CC and Niles are the OG enemies-to-lovers pairing and if you loved the endless ribbing, then you will absolutely enjoy this book.

There’s a ton of playful banter and tension that keeps things exciting and a romance you’ll root for from start to finish.

9. Managed by Kristen Callihan

Managed

Sophie’s flight to London starts as a battle of wits with Gabriel Scott, a legendary rock band manager.

What starts as a heated rivalry quickly turns into an unexpected attraction.

As they get to know each other, Sophie starts to realize there’s more to Gabriel than his icy exterior.

Why It’s Great for The Nanny Fans: Sophie and Gabriel have that perfect combination of chemistry and tension, just like Fran and Maxwell.

Sophie’s witty, and Gabriel’s a bit of a challenge, which makes for some fun back-and-forth moments.

Plus, the whole celebrity-manager setup is a fun angle on the nanny-employer dynamic, so if you love The Nanny, you’ll totally get into this one.

10. Fix Her Up by Tessa Bailey

Fix Her Up

Georgette Castle is ready to change her image, and who better to help her than Travis Ford, a baseball star turned home renovator?

The two come up with a plan to pretend they’re dating, but soon, the line between fake and real starts to blur.

Why It’s Great for The Nanny Fans: Georgie and Travis are like Fran and Maxwell in a nutshell.

Georgie’s fun, quirky, and ready to prove herself, while Travis is the brooding guy with a lot of baggage.

Their banter and slow-building relationship are totally Fran and Maxwell.

If you loved Fran’s witty comebacks and the way she slipped into the Sheffield family’s heart, you’ll love this one.

Writing this post made me absolutely want to watch The Nanny again, and as we’ve already established, I have no willpower, so that’s exactly what I’ll be doing.

If you’ve watched The Nanny and have read any other books that reminded you of Fran, Maxwell, or any of the characters, let me know in the comments.
