As always, I’ve put together a list of the best romance novels coming this month, and if you’re looking to catch up on previous releases, make sure to check out my posts from the past month.

1. Roll for Love by M.K. England (April 8th)

Roll for Love

Harper’s summer is looking rough until she moves back to her grandfather’s farm and reconnects with her childhood best friend, Ollie.

When they start playing D&D together, sparks fly in both the game and real life.

Can they both figure out if their connection is just a game or the real deal?

This is a charming second-chance romance mixed with the excitement of Dungeons & Dragons.

It’s the kind of sweet, geeky love story that’s easy to get lost in.

2. My Best Friend’s Honeymoon by Meryl Wilsner (April 29th)

My Best Friends Honeymoon

Elsie was about to marry the wrong guy when her best friend, Ginny, swoops in to save her with a spontaneous honeymoon trip.

As the week goes on, Elsie learns to ask for what she truly wants and what she wants is Ginny.

This is a beautiful, spicy romance about finding love when you least expect it and realizing that sometimes, the happiest endings come from what we’ve been overlooking all along.

3. Love in 280 Characters Or Less by Ravynn Stringfield (April 15th)

Love in 280 Characters Or Less

Sydney’s first year of college is full of questions: about life, love, and her future.

As she blogs and tweets her way through the ups and downs, she connects with someone online, only to discover that romance is as complicated as managing her real-life relationships.

A heartfelt coming-of-age story that celebrates the beauty of social media, finding yourself, and taking your time to figure out love, this book sounds like the best type of fun.

4. Playin’ Hard by Whitney Grandison (April 8th)

Playing Hard scaled

Cree can’t stand the popular sports clique at her school, especially DeAndre, their cocky leader.

But when they clash in class, things start to shift, and DeAndre is determined to win Cree over.

As their rivalry turns into friendship – and maybe something more – this enemies-to-lovers romance is all about learning to see someone in a new light.

It’s got that perfect mix of tension and chemistry that makes you root for both characters.

5. Right Beside You by Tucker Shaw (April 29th)

Right Beside You

Eddie is having a tough time figuring out his future, but a trip to New York City to take care of his great aunt turns his life upside down.

He starts using her vintage camera and suddenly finds himself traveling back to the past, and he meets the mysterious Francis.

In the present, there’s also Theo, who might just be the real thing.

This heartwarming romance is about choosing between a love that feels like fate and the one right in front of you.

6. Hardly a Gentleman by Eloisa James (April 29th)

Hardly a Gentleman

Clara’s Season has ended in disaster, and she’s fleeing to Scotland.

But when the handsome laird of Castle CaerLaven mistakes her for a housekeeper, sparks fly.

As they’re forced into a marriage, Clara’s heart remains stubborn, but Caelan is determined to win it.

This historical romance is filled with fiery passion, a feisty heroine, and a hero who just won’t give up.

7. Night Swimming by Aaron Starmer (April 29th)

Night Swimming

In the summer of 1994, Trevor’s high school graduation is bittersweet, especially since he’s got a crush on Sarah, who’s already dating someone else.

But when they start sneaking into neighborhood pools together, their connection grows stronger.

Soon, they discover a mysterious natural pool that holds some strange powers.

Honestly, this dreamy, twisty romance is perfect for anyone who loves summer nostalgia and a little magic.

This fun, messy, and heartwarming rom-com is about discovering that love can be unpredictable and totally worth the risk

10. Wild and Wrangled by Lyla Sage (April 15th)

This small-town romance is full of heart and the kind of love that feels like coming home.

11. No Ordinary Love by Myah Ariel (April 1st)

No Ordinary Love

Ella Simone is a pop superstar in a messy marriage to a music producer who’s always cheating on her.

She decides to fight for her independence, but things get complicated when her PR relationship with baseball star Miles Westbrook goes from fake to real.

Will Ella take a chance on love, or stick to the life she knows?

12. The Geographer’s Map to Romance by India Holton (April 8th)

The Geographers Map to Romance

Elodie and Gabriel, a divorced couple, are reunited on an urgent mission to save England from a magical disaster.

As they work together to solve the problem, old feelings spark between them, despite their grumpy history.

This historical fantasy rom-com mixes magic, danger, and second chances.

I’m a fan of the whole forced proximity trope, especially when magic and romance collide and this one sounds like a fun mix of action and heart.

13. Say You’ll Remember Me by Abby Jimenez (April 1st)

Say Youll Remember Me

Samantha and Xavier have one unforgettable date, but life gets in the way her family’s in crisis, and she wants to forget their connection.

But time doesn’t make her feelings go away, and soon, Xavier wants to make sure they can have something real.

This one feels like it’ll break your heart in the best way, and I’m all in for a love that’s too powerful to forget.

14. Great Big Beautiful Life by Emily Henry (April 22nd)

Great Big Beautiful Life

Alice and Hayden are both vying for the chance to write the biography of a mysterious woman.

But things get complicated when they’re forced to work together and start to fall for each other.

There’s so much mystery and chemistry here.

Alice’s optimism and Hayden’s grumpiness are sure to create sparks, and I’m already rooting for them to discover a love story of their own.

15. Flirting Lessons by Jasmine Guillory (April 8th)

Flirting Lessons

Avery is shy and unsure in romance, while Taylor is a seasoned flirt.

Taylor agrees to teach Avery how to flirt, but as the lessons progress, both women find themselves falling for each other.

This queer romance sounds so sweet and full of awkward, tender moments.

I can’t wait to see how their chemistry evolves – it’s always fun when a friendship turns into something more.

17. Crash Landing by Annie McQuaid (April 1st)

Crash Landing

Piper and Wyatt are exes who get stuck on a deserted island together after a plane crash.

At first, they can’t stand each other, but as they survive together, sparks fly once again.

This sounds like the perfect enemies-to-lovers with a side of survival adventure and I’m here for it.

18. Renegade Girls by Nora Neus (April 1st)

Renegade Girls

This graphic novel follows Helena, a young reporter, and Alice, a photographer, as they fall in love while exposing injustice in 1880s New York.

Their tender, brave romance against the backdrop of social change feels like such an important and heartwarming story.

I can’t wait to see how their love story unfolds alongside the fight for justice.

19. I Love You S’more by Auriana Desombre (April 8th)

I love you smore

Ivy just wants a peaceful summer at camp after a public breakup, but things get complicated when she ends up working with her old rival, Rynn, at the camp’s musical production.
