Putting together a list of the best new books coming out each month honestly feels like opening a bunch of little presents – I get to look ahead, get excited, and share all the stories I can’t wait to read with you.
May 2026 has so many good book releases, and I’ve been counting down to talk about them.
To make things easy (and a lot more fun to browse), I’ve divided this post into different genres, so you can jump straight to what you’re in the mood for – whether that’s romance, thrillers, literary fiction, fantasy, or something a little unexpected.
