I make an effort to document the best romance books that come out every month, and June is no exception.
I have pretty specific requirements for the books I read in summer – I always want them to be sweet and steamy.
Of course, that doesn’t mean I don’t want to read books on my backlist, but I like to mix up my reading list to have a nice balance of new and older romance books.
So, if you’ve been keeping up with new releases this year, then this post about June 2025 releases is essentially a gift from both of us to the readers, because these books are so lovely!
I really can’t wait to read them all.
Winging It With You by Chip Pons – June 10th

I’m really looking forward to this one because it sounds like such a fun, feel-good rom-com.
Imagine two guys meeting by chance at an airport and then pretending to be a couple on a reality travel show.
Asher is freshly dumped and just wants a new partner to face the competition with, while Theo is a pilot who’s finally forced to take a break and try something new.
The fake dating starts as just a plan for the cameras, but their real feelings sneak in.
I love stories where love grows in the most unexpected places, and this one sounds like the perfect mix of humor and heart.
Plus Size Player by Danielle Allen – June 10th

This book sounds so refreshing and empowering, and as a plus-sized girlie, I’m totally seated.
Nina Ford knows exactly what she wants from life and love – she enjoys having multiple men to meet her different needs, whether it’s fun, passion, or ambition.
But when her perfect partner and her career goals collide, things get complicated.
I’m really excited about how this story celebrates confidence and being true to yourself, plus it’s by Danielle Allen, who writes such smart and steamy romances.
It’s going to be a blast.
The Four Engagement Rings of Sybil Rain by Hannah Brown – June 24th

Okay, this one caught my eye because it’s about a runaway bride who’s juggling her past in the most hilarious way.
Sybil was supposed to honeymoon in Hawaii with her fiancé, but after the wedding didn’t happen, she decides to use the vouchers alone.
Surprisingly, her ex-fiancé shows up too, plus another ex to make things even more complicated.
I love the idea of a tropical setting with so much romantic drama, and I can’t wait to see if Sybil can finally find her fourth and final chance at love.
The beach vibes and messy exes? Yes, please!
If I Told You, I’d Have To Kiss You by Mae Marvel – June 10th

Spies and romance? Count me in!
This story about two secret agents who used to be a couple is so thrilling.
Yardley and KC have been hiding secrets from each other, and when they discover they’re both working undercover for the same agency, they have to team up while dealing with old feelings.
I’m really excited for this because it combines action and steamy romance with a great can they overcome the past? storyline.
Plus, the way they hide in linen closets sounds so fun and dramatic.
Eliza and the Duke by Harper St. George – June 24th

I’m totally drawn to this one because it’s a story about unexpected romance with a twist.
Eliza Dove just wants one wild night before settling into a boring marriage, and she finds it with Simon, a prizefighter with secrets of his own.
The idea of an heiress and a tough boxer falling for each other despite their very different worlds sounds like pure magic.
I love stories where two people challenge each other and grow together, and this one seems full of passion and adventure.
Finders Keepers by Sarah Adler – June 24th

This sounds like a beautiful story about second chances and healing old wounds.
Nina and Quentin were childhood best friends who drifted apart, but a treasure hunt brings them back together.
I really like the idea of mixing adventure with romance and how finding the treasure might also mean finding each other again.
It feels like the kind of sweet, heartwarming story where love grows slowly and honestly, and I’m definitely looking forward to it!
Severed Heart by Kate Stewart – June 24th
For those who love darker, more intense romances, this one promises a lot.
This one is about Tyler, a boy trying to grow up fast, and a woman soldier who understands his pain.
Their bond changes everything, but loss will shape his future.
I’m curious about this deeper, emotional journey and how love and struggle intertwine in their story.
Never Been Shipped by Alicia Thompson – June 10th

I love music-themed romances, and this one sounds so fresh.
Micah and John used to be bandmates and best friends, but the band broke up and so did their closeness.
Now, years later, they reunite for one last cruise concert. There’s a ticking clock and old feelings to sort out.
I’m excited for this one because it’s about rediscovering love and friendship while chasing dreams and who doesn’t love a band reunion that could spark something new?
Worth Fighting For by Jesse Q. Sutanto – June 3rd

I’m really excited about this modern take on Mulan – it’s about family expectations and big business, but with romance and lots of heart.
Fa Mulan is fierce, smart, and determined to save her family’s company when her dad falls ill.
The story promises laughter, swoons, and a contemporary heroine who fights for what she wants in love and life.
It’s definitely one I’m eager to read because it sounds both funny and inspiring.
Release Me by K.A. Tucker – June 10th

This is the first book in the Wolf Hotel Mermaid Beach series, and I’m already hooked just from the premise.
Ronan Lyle, who’s all about avoiding heartbreak but somehow keeps running into trouble with women, arrives in sunny Florida ready to start fresh.
But of course, things get complicated when he meets Sloane Parker, a woman who’s determined to ruin the hotel he’s supposed to manage.
It’s got that irresistible mix of steamy, messy feelings and a story about trying to stay strong when your heart just won’t listen.
I’m definitely ready for a beachy, grown-up romance that’s full of passion and second chances.
Total Dreamboat by Katelyn Doyle – June 24th

This sounds like such a fun, quirky rom-com.
Hope needs a break from all her relationship drama, and even though she hates cruises, she tags along with her friend on a luxury cruise trip.
Felix, a serious chef who hates cruises too, ends up on the same trip thanks to his parents.
Sparks fly when they meet, and suddenly a Caribbean cruise filled with ballroom dancing and karaoke turns into something much more complicated.
I love that messy, funny vibe where two very different people have to figure out what they really want from love, even when everything seems to be working against them.
Sounds Like Love by Ashley Poston – June 17th

I’m so into this one!
Joni’s a successful songwriter who’s lost her spark and returns to her hometown hoping to find inspiration, but everything is different.
Then she starts hearing a mysterious melody and an amazing voice in her head that leads her to a grumpy musician who’s got his own baggage.
Together, they try to finish the song and maybe break the strange connection between them.
It sounds so magical and heartfelt; like a story about healing and finding love when you least expect it.
Plus, music makes everything better, right?
The Love Fix by Jill Shalvis – June 24th

Lexi has a lot on her plate – she’s back home dealing with her past, her complicated family, and especially Heath, her childhood nemesis who’s now also the executor of her late mother’s estate.
She’s on this road trip to pay off her mom’s debts, and the whole trip is full of funny, emotional moments that make her confront her walls and maybe open up her heart.
I love stories about second chances, forgiveness, and found family, so I’m really looking forward to this one.
A Rare Find by Joanna Lowell – June 10th

I’m so excited for this queer historical romance.
Elfreda, a determined archaeologist, teams up with her childhood enemy Georgie for a treasure hunt involving Viking gold.
They clash but also start to feel something more powerful than hate.
The idea of enemies who can’t resist each other while digging up history sounds so charming and adventurous.
I can already picture all the tension and the fun that’s going to come from their banter and unexpected feelings.
Cruel Summer by Maisey Yates – June 24th

This one sounds so intense and different from the usual romance.
Samantha’s life is perfect until her husband suggests an open marriage, which is totally unexpected.
To find herself, she goes on a road trip with Logan, her husband’s best friend, who she’s never really gotten along with.
I love the idea of a summer filled with road trip adventures and a complicated, slow-burning connection that challenges everything Samantha thought she wanted.
It feels like a story about finding yourself and love in surprising places.
Till Summer Do Us Part by Meghan Quinn – June 3rd

Okay, this one sounds like such a hilarious, feel-good read.
Scottie lies about having a husband to impress her boss, then has to keep up the fake marriage by working with Wilder Wells, a millionaire who’s ready to help her out and totally turns her summer upside down.
I love the fake relationship trope and the idea of a summer camp with coworkers sounds like so much fun.
It’s going to be sweet, funny, and full of awkward, adorable moments that I’m definitely here for.
Seven Year Itch by Amy Daws – June 17th

Calder just wants a casual date for a wedding but ends up stuck with Dakota, his sister-in-law’s best friend who’s hated him for years.
Now, after a tropical vacation full of sass and fights, things get unexpectedly complicated.
The whole hate to love story with a gruff mountain man vibe? Count me in!
It’s perfect for when you want a little spice and lots of humor in your romance.
Slow Burn Summer by Josie Silver – June 10th

This one caught my eye because it’s about a talent agent who hires an actress to pretend to be a novelist for a book tour, and of course, sparks fly in the process.
Kate’s life is a bit of a mess, and Charlie’s trying to save a business and his career, so their fake relationship could be just what they both need or maybe more than that.
I love stories about second chances and fake relationships that turn real, and I can’t wait to see how their summer unfolds.
